The Yogic Path
Through counseling and talk therapy, we assist ourselves in healing the brain through processing, open dialogue, language, and verbalizing our inner thoughts and feelings. Through yoga, we heal the mind and body through somatic empowerment. This physical practice supports the mental repair from counseling by utilizing the body as a container and outlet to facilitate strength. Mindful movement allows us to literally and figuratively flow through life. The connection of mind and body taps into the entire self and aligns our actions with our values. The mind benefits from stillness, and the body benefits from movement. Move the body to still the mind.
I work with determined, self-aware adults who are struggling with stress and anxiety and want improved satisfaction in their lives. I value a holistic approach, mindfulness, and evidence-based techniques for personal empowerment and change.

In today’s society, we are often told to be overly-concerned about our future while forgetting that the journey is also the destination. Living in the present moment with mindfulness helps dismantle worry and restlessness while harnessing and enjoying the power of now.

It can be difficult to move forward in life when we are having trouble letting go and feeling motivated. We can work on improving satisfaction and embracing radical acceptance to identify the things that we can control, as well as finding freedom in those that we simply cannot.
